Saray Atosa is designed and is being implemented on 5 floors, including a traditional space in the basement, a parking lot on the ground floor, and three residential units on the first, second, and third floors. Also, on the roof, a suite unit and a roof garden are planned to host the guests of the residents of this modern apartment in one of the best areas of the new fabric of Yazd on the summer nights of the desert.
As with all residential projects, the main goal of the design team is to fulfill the wishes of the client as the main user of the space. This project was no exception to this rule, and the client’s needs, such as maintaining privacy, ensuring that all spaces are illuminated (taking advantage of natural light), considering balconies, etc., as well as complying with municipal guidelines and regulations, were prioritized in the design planning, presenting the design team with challenges.
Finally, with the consensus of all team members, an architectural response was provided for each issue, which resulted in creating fullness and emptiness, combining pure traditional and modern volumes in the facade, and placing the courtyard (life) in the heart of the house.
